Soccer Practice

Raegan is loving soccer! Here are a few pictures from the last 2 practices.
Aiming for the goal!
Raegan with her coach behind her! She is starting to warm up to "Coach Ben."
Raegan during a scrimmage! Tommy, Taylor, and I were so excited to see her get involved in the game.
Raegan is wearing the number 8 shirt. This is one of Taylor's old soccer shirts. Taylor is playing this year again, too.
She played so well we went out to celebrate with ice cream. Raegan gave it up during Lent. It was a perfect ending to a great practice. Her first game is this Saturday. Taylor's first Soccer game and Softball game is next Saturday!!

Share The Fun!

Taylor and her friends performed on March 19th in Share the Fun! It is a requirement for her 4-H program. They chose to dance to Lay 'Em Down by NEEDTOBREATHE. All of the girls had been performing this dance at our church for the liturgical dance team. Performing on stage and in front of their peers was something new.

The Faith Steppers won first place!! We were so proud of all of the girls. They will be going to District, in Lexington, on April 24.

Celebrating Raegan!

Happy Birthday, Raegan! Raegan turned 8 on Feb. 25th!
Raegan wanted to go to Olive Garden for her birthday. Raegan loves pasta! We all had a great time.  ( Michaela had a blast)
Our birthday girl with Granny.
A few weekends later, Raegan invited some girlfriends over. They were full of giggles. We had plans to go bowling, but the bowling alley was packed! We moved on to plan B and went to a movie instead. It was Michaela's first movie. She did awesome. All of the girls were wonderful. Taylor was a huge help, too.
Raegan and her girls! It was a wonderful "Girl Day!"

Trying Something New!

Raegan has decided that she wants to play soccer this spring. We are all so excited for her. Tommy bought her new shoes, a ball, shorts, and safety gear. She couldn't wait to try them on.  I will keep everybody updated! This is Raegan's first time playing with a team. She has sat on the sidelines through many games cheering for her older sister. She is ready to show the world what she can do!!
Look at her go!!

Blizzard of 2010 Part 2

Here are some more pictures from the blizzard!

Our driveway has been discovered. That was a lot of shoveling.

They are calling for more snow this week. I can't see the main road because the snow piles are so high. It beautiful and so peaceful, but so much work.

Feeling Under The Weather!

Our 7 year old boxer, Cody, has Lyme's Disease. Last week we noticed he had a hard time standing up. He was in so much pain. It was horrible. A friend of mine is a Vet Tech and she stopped by to look at him. She advised me to have him looked at. She thought it was Lyme's. It has become so wide spread in this area. I ended up taking him later that night and it was confirmed that he did have it.
They gave him Doxycycline. He will take it for 30 days. They will re-check him after a month to see if it is cleared up. Hopefully we caught it early. Hopefully it hasn't damaged his liver.
He has been getting lots of TLC and rest. He has been on the meds for 3 days and I can already see a big improvement. The first few days I had to hand feed him. He hurt him to bend down to eat. The make a lyme's vaccine now. All of my pets will be sure to get it.

Blizzard of 2010

We're guessing that this area got around 30" of snow! Michaela was anxious to get outside to explore.
Tommy shoveling with his cast on. He has been very creative in finding ways to keep it dry. This trip out he wore a plastic bag, with a pink scarf tied around it.

Basketball

Taylor is playing basketball again this year. Tommy is her coach. They are having a great season. I have been having a hard time getting any good photos inside of the gym. Here are a few that turned out. Tommy is giving Taylor a thumbs up after a basket she made!
Taylor playing against one of her former teammates from the school league.
I love this picture. Tommy is a wonderful coach and father. Taylor had just actually made a minor mistake when this photo was taken. I loved that her coach and father embraced her with understanding and encouragement. I am so proud of them both. All of the girls on the team are doing a wonderful job. They are having fun playing and improving their skills each week. We have a few more games scheduled for the season. Hopefully we won't miss too many with the upcoming snowstorm!

Gingerbread House!

Over the holidays the girls made a gingerbread house. We worked on it during the "big snowstorm." Taylor is a pro with the piping bag already. The girls got a kick out of me hot gluing the house together. It was an older kit. I knew we couldn't eat it so...I got out the Hot Glue Gun!!
Raegan had "her side" and Michaela had the other!
Michaela's side!
Raegan's side! The roof was a done by all 3 girls. I hated to throw it away.
